My name is Jennifer Garnett. I am from Bogota, the capital of Colombia, where the native language is Spanish. I studied at the Universidad Autonoma de Colombia, where I obtained a bachelor’s degree in Economics and International Relations. In addition, from a very young age I began to study music and singing for more than nine years and started to teach music to young children of different languages. At the same time, I was preparing myself in English in a private school to be able to have my TOEFL certificate. My mother was my first motivation to work in education. She was a teacher for 30 years, and she suggested I take a course in learning techniques. It was truly beneficial, even in my job at that time as a commercial and financial advisor. Later, I decided to come to the United States to continue studying and strengthen my English. I pursued an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, where I met my husband and we started a family. Now I have two beautiful twin babies. In the process I continued teaching Spanish in a fun and didactic way to adults and children. This makes me happy! After several teaching experiences, I joined this great language school, Aux 3 Pommes, as a Spanish teacher. I love and enjoy what I do.
