John Alstott
On March 17, we participated for the first time in the COLT poetry contest. The idea came from Anne Alstott, John’s mom. There were busloads of students coming from all over Connecticut, to compete in several languages. We were hosted at Lyman High School in Wallingford.
Aux 3 Pommes had one ambassador: John Alstott, 15 years old, has been our student for 2 years. His love of language, his ability and commitment to learning have contributed to his impressive progress. John speaks French fluently now and will be at AP level next academic year. He won the silver medal for his category presenting a poem by Victor Hugo: “On vit, on parle”.
