A mis estudiantes:

I am excited to introduce myself as an experienced public school language teacher with 18 years of dedicated service in the field of education. My journey has equipped me with a deep understanding of teaching methodologies and pedagogies, allowing me to adapt my approach to meet the diverse needs of my students through differentiation. Spanish, a language rich in beauty and cultural significance, has a fascinating history. It has transformed from its Castellano roots into the unique and vibrant colloquialisms that characterize each Spanish-speaking country. It embodies love, celebration, and music, and is reflected in the delicious dishes that represent the diverse tapestry of Hispanic culture. I completed my undergraduate studies at Dickinson College and had the incredible opportunity to live and study for a year in Málaga, España, which further deepened my appreciation for the language and its cultural context. I then earned a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education at Sacred Heart University.

As we embark on this journey together, I invite you to join me in exploring the power of connection through language. The ability to communicate transcends borders and inspires us to embrace our shared humanity. Through my experience in public education and my passion for multilingualism, I am eager to share the joy and richness that comes with understanding and speaking Spanish.
