Maria Lugo

¡¡Hola!! Hello,
My name is Maria Lugo. I am originally from Mexico, and I came to the USA when I was 14 years old. It was a challenge to learn English, but I tried very hard, and with time I finally got it. I realized that being bilingual is very helpful and can open many opportunities.

I used to live in California, where I taught my neighbors’ little kids how to read and write in English. As the oldest child in my family, I always had to translate for everything.

In 2016, I took classes to earn my associate degree in Childhood Education and Daycare.
In 2017, I got my first official job in a daycare as a bilingual teacher.

Being a teacher was the best job I could ever have. I love children, and it’s a pleasure to interact with them in my native language and to share the rich culture of Spanish-speaking countries. I am always looking for ways to improve my teaching so I can help more people—whether they want to learn Spanish for work, school, or just for fun.

Beyond the classroom, I love baking, playing with kids, and spending time with family and friends.

I am excited to be part of Aux Trois Pommes and to help people become Spanish speakers.
