Nuria Mateos

¡Hola!

My name is Núria and I teach Spanish at Aux3Pommes.  I grew up in a town next to Barcelona. I speak both Catalan and Spanish as native languages, and I have studied English and French in high school and also a little bit of German.

I’ve always loved writing and reading, so I graduated in Journalism at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). While working as a journalist, I studied a Master in Linguistics. Because of the master, my interest in linguistics and languages grew and I decided to get a diploma on “How to teach Spanish as a foreign language”, at Instituto Cervantes.

I love teaching, specially to the young ones. I taught music language and classical guitar to children in Barcelona and I also was a playground monitor for four years. I joined Aux3Pommes in 2013 as a Spanish teacher for both children and adults and I couldn’t be happier with the experience.

Learning a language requires patience and a big commitment, but when you are able to communicate with other people, understand the news,  the songs and read books in a foreign language, you feel that the effort it’s totally worth it.

If you decide to learn Spanish, ¡bienvenido!
