Olá!

My name is Leandro, and I was born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil. I studied Geography and I did research about cities and urbanism. Although I enjoyed it, my main interest has been teaching, and that is why, after finishing college I did a specialization in Education. Moreover, I have been a high school Geography teacher for almost 7 years; I have had the opportunity to teach teens, young adults and adults throughout that time. That experience has enriched my teaching skills and helped me to get a better understanding of the learning processes. 

Furthermore, I worked for 2 years at the “Fundação Bradesco”, which is a very well recognized educational institution in Brazil that has around 40 schools all over the country. There, I had the opportunity to supervise a large group of Geography school teachers and to develop educational material (e.g textbooks and podcasts). Driven by this new professional experience, I did a specialization in e-Learning and systems for virtual education.

I moved to New Haven in January 2012 with my wife, who is a graduate student at Yale University. Since then, I have been auditing some classes at Yale and taking lessons to improve my English skills.
