I was born in Italy, in the beautiful Tuscany. After graduating from the University of Pisa, I moved to the USA where I pursued a PhD in Italian and Renaissance Literature at Yale where I also got a certificate for teaching Italian as Second Language. What I have loved more about my American experience has been teaching Italian language and culture to Americans. I have taught four years at Yale but I have also private students of all ages. I love the personal interaction with my students and every time I strive for eliciting my students’ interests in my native language and culture. I always promote an interactive and communicative approach to teaching since I believe it is the most effective – and fun – way of learning a new language.
